I have been very lucky to be invited to take a part in this wonderful collaboration.
The Beatrix Potter series is one of the most beautifully written and illustrated collections of childrens’ books and has enchanted generation after generation, including cake decorators who have translated the beautiful imagery from the stories into outstanding childrens’ cake designs.
I have been inspired by picture from the “Tales of Peter Rabbit” to create my piece.
Hand painting on the icing Peter Rabbit with textured fur made from royal icing, airbrushing background with hand painting grass and bushes, sugarpaste poppy and flowers and wild strawberries shrub made of gumpaste.
I’ve had so much fun putting this cake together and hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.
