Sport Cakes for Peace Collaboration

back

Sport Cakes for Peace is a cake collaboration created by Elisabete Caseiro from @BetySugarland – Cake Design by Elisabete Caseiro to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, April 6th, 2017.
On August 23 of 2013, the UN proclaimed that the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace would be celebrated April 6 every year. This day is a celebration of the power of sport to drive social change, community development and to foster peace and understanding. This date also marks the opening of the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896.
This was an open collaboration and everyone who was interested could participate creating a Cake, Cookies or Sugar Piece representing this theme. At the end we were 50 cake decorators from 22 countries all over the world and we tried to cover a wide range of sports.

Please check all the fabulous pieces in the following links and don’t forget to leave your like on the page.

My work is dedicated to the judokas from all over the world.
Judo is beautiful but difficult sport. As a longtime judoka, often referring fingers pinching , wrists, painful abrasions, but it did not discourage me to continue to compete in sports events, improved fighting techniques and gaining the judo coach degree.

My inspiration and few pictures from progress.
